Goddam it yes! Found this on the discount rack which means it is about to go bad. Also means it is dirt cheap. Got it for $1.00 for 2. Yay! I love dragon fruits but oh so expensive in Melbourne. I think one dragon fruit can be up to $8.00 each. You'd think the flesh is made of gold or something. In fact my uncle is growing his own dragon fruit. I plan to invite myself over for the first harvest.
Also went a little crazy when I saw lotus roots are back on the shelf. Tis a season to be jolly until I saw the bill. $7.99/kg. Did they grow this lotus root in liquid gold or something? Felt a bit cheated with overly priced lotus roots and don't even get me started on the avocados. Oh well I haven't had lotus root soup in like forever so just swallow the price. Not to mention I already have nuts, red dates and dried sotong at home. It is destiny to buy lotus root today.
